Jan Vesely expected to sign a three-year deal with FC Barcelona

Fenerbahce forward Jan Vesely will leave the club after eight seasons to join FC Barcelona on a three-year deal, as reported by Ugur Ozan Sulak. Vesely will conlude his career in Fener in Turkish BSL playoffs.

He averaged 13.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in 22 EuroLeague games this season. Vesely will replace Brandon Davies in the FC Barcelona roster for the 2022-23 season.

Vesely will be added to a star-studded, and he will be paired with EuroLeague MVP Nikola Mirotic in Barca’s front court. The Czech center had joined Fener back in 2014. He extended EuroLeague experience to 11 seasons and was crowned a champion in 2017.

Before joining Fenerbahce, he played for three seasons in the NBA. He appeared in 162 NBA games with the Washington Wizards and Denver Nuggets. He was selected as the 6th overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft.

The Czech star is expected to make around €1.8 million net in Barcelona, with the total sum before taxes around €2.5 million per year.
