Olimpia Milan is expected to sign guard Billy Baron, per Emiliano Carchia of Sportando. Baron spent the last two years playing for Zenit St. Petersburg leading the team to multiple great runs in the EuroLeague.

Zenit has been suspended from the EuroLeague due to the Russia’s invasion in Ukraine and Baron is expected to join a EuroLeague team ahead of the 2022-23 season. He averaged 11.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 20 minutes per game.

He was one of the top shooters in the EuroLeague with 2.2 three-point makes in 6.6 attempts per game the past season. Milan will add another capable guard in its rotation having also a reported deal in place with Kevin Pangos.

Size will not one of the strong suits for Milan next season, if the rumors are true. However, Ettore Messina will have more shot creators in the perimeter alongside Devon Hall, who had an excellent rookie season in the EuroLeague.

Barron and Pangos will be the replacements for Malcolm Delaney and Sergio Rodriguez, who are expected to leave. The Italian side has reportedly also signed Italian guard Stefano Tonut from Reyer Venezia.
