EuroLeague rumors: Jordan Loyd set to sign with Monaco

Monaco has its sights set on becoming a EuroLeague powerhouse next season and does its best to bolster its roster.

As a result, the Monegasques have agreed to a deal with Jordan Loyd, who led Zenit Saint Petersburg to the VTB League title on Sunday. The contract between Loyd and Monaco will be for two years, according to Aris Barkas of Eurohoops.net.

According to the same report, Monaco will sign big man Donta Hall to a new, three-year contract. Hall will join John Brown in the frontline, with the latter also set to sign with the squad soon.

The club has revealed its plan to increase the budget for next season and its priority remains to re-sign Mike James.

In other EuroLeague rumors, Loyd’s teammate, Billy Baron, is expected to join Armani Milano after the end of the season. Per PuntOlimpia, the two sides are close to a deal that will let Baron remain in the EuroLeague.

Another Zenit player that is expected to leave the club in the offseason is Alex Poythress, who will become a free agent in the coming days.

Poythress has already been linked to Maccabi Tel-Aviv, while he is in talks with Valencia, which is the frontrunner to play in the EuroLeague next season, via a wild card.
