With Croatian NT being down 1-3 in Group C of the FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers, the team announced the 26-player list for the final games of the current phase. NBA players Bojan Bogdanovic and Ivica Zubac were included in the selection.
Croatia head coach Damir Mulaomerovic said both players will be questionable ahead of the two deciding games of the preliminary round (h/t Eurohoops). In the upcoming FIBA window, Croatia will face Slovenia and Finland.
Sitting at 1-3, it will be an uphill battle as Slovenia and Sweden are tied at 2-2 and Finland leads the group with a 3-1 record. In the game vs Slovenia on June 30, Bogdanovic and co. will play against Luka Doncic and Goran Dragic.
The team is slated to feature in the 2022 EuroBasket with the NBA star players likely available to play. They will face Greece, Great Britain, Estonia, Italy, and Ukraine in Milan between 2-8 September.
