Fenerbahce takes 1-0 lead over Efes in Turkish BSL Finals

Jan Vesely had a memorable night and Fenerbahce prevailed over Anadolu Efes with 85-76 to take a 1-0 lead in the Turkish BSL Finals. The reigning EuroLeague champions played without injured Vasilije Micic, while Shane Larkin exited the contest with five minutes left.

Markel Starks, Dyshawn Pierre, Achille Polonara, Danilo Barthel, Jehyve Floyd were out for Fenerbahce, which saw Vesely scoring 17 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Nando De Colo followed him with 13 points and seven assists.

Rodrigue Beaubois (20 points) and Elijah Bryant (13 points) were the only Efes players in double-digits. Devin Booker made his presence felt with 11 points for the winning side, who shot 25 -of-34 from 2-point range in the game.

The back-to-back EuroLeague champions fell behind in the middle of the third quarter and never recovered as Fener bruised them aside to secure the win in the opening game of the Turkish BSL Finals.

Fener hosts Efes for Game 2 of the best-of-five series Thursday night.
