Fenerbahce dominated the game from the start and beat Anadolu Efes 93-78 to take a 2-0 lead in the Turkish BSL Finals. Fener had five players in double-digits. The home side took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring their rivals 36-21.
Sasa Djordjevic’s players took a 54-32 halftime lead and established an advantage over the EuroLeague back-to-back champions. Marko Guduric and Jan Vesely scored 18 points apiece for Fenerbahce.
Tarik Biberovic added 17 helping his team take the advantage in the second quarter. Shane Larkin and returning Vasilije Micic combined for 17 points on 5/16 from the field for Anadolu Efes, which was unable to be competitive for three quarters.
Elijah Bryant scored a game-high 19 points, but could not help Efes avoid defeat for the second game in the row. The EuroLeague champions had an 18-20 lead at the end of the first quarter, but they were unable to stop Fenerbahce the rest of the way.
Marko Guduric had a strong second quarter with 11 straight points, which opened the game wide for the home side. Micic was unable to contribute effectively as he seemed not ready for a high stakes game after suffering a foot injury during Turkish BSL semifinals.
