Anadolu Efes have reached an agreement with star point guard Shane Larkin for a two-year contract extension, the Turkish club announced on Friday. The 29-year-old will remain in Istanbul until the end of the 2023/24 season.
The All-EuroLeague First Team member was on an expiring contract with the back-to-back EuroLeague champions. Larkin has been part of the Efes organization since the 2018-2019 season.

This past season, he was one of the main contributors for the Turkish giants in the EuroLeague averaging 14.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals through 39 games.
That’s a huge step for Efes, which also announced the signing of Will Clyburn a couple of days ago to add another high-caliber talent to its roster. The Detroit-born forward signed a two-year deal with the club.
With Larkin staying with Efes, the next step will be to keep Vasilije Micic, who will attract interest from the NBA this offseason. The EuroLeague MVP went down with a foot injury during the Turkish BSL semifinals, but returned to Gm 2 of the Finals vs Fener.
Anadolu Efes are currently fighting for the domestic trophy in the Turkish League Finals. However, the EuroLeague champions are down 2-0 in the series, with Fener being one win away from securing the title.
