Lithuanian NT announced the 15-man roster ahead of the FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers. Although the Lithuanian selection will lack NBA stars Jonas Valanciunas and Domantas Sabonis, Orlando Magic forward Ignas Brazdeikis is featured in the selection.
Ignas Brazdeikis finished the season with an average of 5.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.9 assists through 42 NBA games. EuroLeague star Marius Grigonis is also part of the selection.
Kazys Maksytis’ squad will face Bulgaria on the road on July 1, and host the Czech Republic on July 4, to end the first round of the FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers. Lithuania sits at the top of Group F with 4 wins. Bosnia and Herzegovina follows with a 2-2 record.
