Olympiacos rallies past Panathinaikos; grabs 2-0 lead in Greek League Finals

Olympiacos made a wild comeback and rallied past Panathinaikos in Game 2 of the Greek League Finals (72-78).

The “Reds” trailed by 14 at halftime (46-32) afrer losing the second quarter 25-12. However, they bounced back in the third and went on an impressive 2-23 run to take control (48-55).

Olympiacos outscored Panathinaikos 10-29 in the third and never looked back (56-61). For their part, the “Greens” attempted a late comeback (72-76), but the visitors stood tall and sealed the deal.

Kostas Sloukas (20 points), Sasha Vezenkov (19 points) and Tyler Dorsey (17 points) combined for 56 points for the winners.

Ioannis Papapetrou and Giorgos Papagiannis (10 rebounds) had 17 and 12 points, respectively, for the losing squad.

Olympiacos now leads the series 2-0 and needs another win to claim the Greek League title. Game 3 is on Friday at Peace and Friendship Stadium.
