Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics will play an elimination game for a third time in the 2022 NBA playoffs.

The Celtics competed in elimination games against the Milwaukee Bucks (ECF semi-finals, Game 6) and the Miami Heat (ECF Finals, Game 7) and won them both. Now they need to defeat the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 and remain alive in the NBA Finals.

And Jayson Tatum was pretty clear when asked about the mentality Boston should have in the contest: “Whatever it takes to win.”

“I think my thought process, as it was in that game, Game 7, Game 7 against the Heat, it was just do whatever it takes to win. That can look different from game to game.

But we won all those games. Felt like myself and everybody else did whatever it took. That’s the mindset you got to have going into tomorrow, then hopefully a Game 7,” the superstar forward told media, including Hedgeout.net, on Wednesday.

If Tatum and the Celtics survive Game 6 at TD Garden, they will even the series and force a Game 7 on Monday.
