Fenerbahce officially parts ways with head coach Sasha Djordjevic

Fenerbahce and head coach Sasha Djordjevic have officially parted ways, the Turkish club announced on Friday.

The Serbian head coach leaves the club after just one year as head coach and despite leading the team to the Turkish League title a few days ago.

Under coach Djordjevic, Fenerbahce returned to the top of the Turkish League after four years, but missed the EuroLeague playoffs for the first time in eight years.

The EuroLeague powerhouse is now expected to hire Dimitris Itoudis as Djordjevic’s replacement. The Greek head coach, who has taken over the national team of Greece, parted ways with CSKA Moscow a couple of weeks ago.
