Doc Rivers addresses James Harden signing contract extension with Sixers

Doc Rivers opened up about James Harden remaining with the Philadelphia 76ers and signing a contract extension.

The superstar guard has a player option of $47.9M for next season and will be eligible for a four-year, $233M extension if he opts in by June 29th.

Even though reports suggest the deal between Harden and Philadelphia will be short-term, Doc Rivers hinted at different while speaking to TMZ Sports, calling the deal ‘huge’.

Th head coach of the Sixers also shared his excitement about coaching Harden and hopes the latter will be at his very best next season.

The Sixers aim to return to title contention next year, after losing to the Miami Heat (4-2) in the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
