Fenerbahce has officially hired Dimitris Itoudis as the new head coach, the club announced on Sunday. The Greek coach will replace Sasha Djordjevic, who parted ways with the squad a few days ago.
The deal between the two sides is for three years, according to the official announcement. Dimitris Itoudis left CSKA Moscow a couple of weeks ago, after spending eight years with the Muscovites, and now takes over another EuroLeague powerhouse.

The veteran coach, who has won the EuroLeague twice (2016, 2019), will also guide the national team of Greece in the 2022 FIBA EuroBasket.
Dimitris Itoudis will now aim to bring Fenerbahce back to the EuroLeague playoffs, as the Turkish squad missed the postseason for the first time after eight years.
