Kyle Hines will remain with Olimpia Milan at least for next season, team GM Christos Stavropoulos announced Sunday (h/t to Eurohoops). The veteran executive made the announcement during a press conference in Mediolanum Forum.

Celebrating the 2021-22 season title, Milan will hope to keep the core intact for the next season. Hines had another great year in both the EuroLeague and the Lega Basket Serie A being an important part of Milan’s dominant defensive plan.

The 2021-22 season was his 12th in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. The four-time EuroLeague champion put up 8.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game to help the club make the competition’s playoff for the second consecutive year.

Olimpia Milan returned to the top of the Italian league after finishing the best-of-seven series vs the reigning champions Virtus Bologna in six games (4-2). The veteran big joined Milan in 2020 after seven years with Russian and EuroLeague powerhouse CSKA Moscow.

Previous to that, Hines played for Olympiacos winning back-to-back EuroLeague titles with the Greek giants and elevating his game to a high-level season by season. Milan is slated to participate in the 2022-23 edition of EuroLeague and domestic competitions.

They expected to make more moves, moving forward and get ready for a tough season in the EuroLeague and domestic level.
