Samet Geyik of Ankara will continue to Fenerbahce for one season, the Turkish league champions announced Monday. That’s the second signing for Fener in one day after finalizing the deal with bigman Johnathan Motley.
Geyik, 29, will be the third-string of Fener for the 2022-23 season. He spent the previous season with Turk Telekom Ankara and averaged 6.9 points and 4.5 rebounds in the 7DAYS EuroCup.
He set to make his EuroLeague debut with Fenerbahce. He also played for Anadolu Efes 2016-17, but he did not make an appearance with Fener’s rivals in the top European basketball competition.
Geyik has been part of several squads in Turkey throughout the years playing for Bornova Belediye, Tofar Bursa, Pinar Karsiyaka and Besiktas Istanbul, as well as for the Turkish national team.
