Fenerbahce parting ways with Ahmet Duverioglu and Danilo Barthel

Fenerbache announced that the club parted ways with bigman Ahmet Duverioglu and forward Danilo Barthel. Both players had limited roles during the 2021-22 season with Fener and they will continue elsewhere.

Duverioglu has spent six seasons with Fenerbahce and he was part of the team that won the 2016-17 EuroLeague title. He has also won three Turkish league championships, two Turkish cups, and three Turkish Super cups with the EuroLeague giants.

Barthel has played two past seasons for Fenerbahce after his 4-year stint with Bayern Munich. The German forward/big has seen his role getting reduced last season averaging just 9.5 minutes per game in the EuroLeague.

He averaged 4.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per game last season and won the Turkish League championship as Fener beat rival and back-to-back EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes in the Finals a few days back.

It’s reported that Fenerbache will also see Jan Vesely leaving its front line this offseason, while they are closing to a deal with Maccabi’s guard Scottie Wilbekin as being reported the last few days.
