Walter Tavares matched his season high with 25 points and Real Madrid defeated Barcelona (81-74) to win the ACB Finals (3-1).

The “Whites” led by as many as 14 in the first half (24-10), but the Catalans cut the deficit to one at halftime (34-33). Since then, it was a back-and-forth battle between the two sides, with Real Madrid standing tall and claiming the victory.

Tavares and Fabien Causeur (17 points) were the best players for the winners, whereas Nikola Mirotic went for 14 points for the losing squad.

Real Madrid won its 36th ACB title, while they were runners up in the EuroLeague and Copa Del Rey. For their part, the “Blaugrana” had a stellar regular season in both the ACB and the EuroLeague, yet they only claimed the Spanish Cup in the end.
