Fenerbahce new head coach Dimitris Itoudis confirmed the talks between his team and Maccabi Tel-Aviv superstar Scottie Wilbekin.
The American guard, who holds a Turkish passport, is still under contract with the Israelis, so the negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing.
“We are still in talks for Scottie Wilbekin. The two clubs are negotiating. I am sure that our president will undertake any sacrifice for the future. I think positively,” the Greek head coach told media on Tuesday.
As revealed during the press conference, Fenerbahce is hopeful they could reach an agreement with Maccabi in the coming days.
Scottie Wilbekin averaged 15.4 points, 4.1 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals in the EuroLeague last season.
