Steve Kerr shared his excitement about his assistant Kenny Atkinson remaining with the Golden State Warriors next season.
The four-time NBA champion explained why it is important for him that Atkinson will remain a member of Golden State as a top assistant.
“Kenny’s got two kids [teenagers] who really wanted to stay. We’re lucky to have him back especially losing Mike Brown next year, I need Kenny,” Steve Kerr said, via Clutchpoints.

Atkinson had agreed in principle to a four-year deal with the Charlotte Hornets during the NBA Finals. However, he eventually decided to turn down the offer and return to Golden State for another season.
And with Mike Brown leaving the franchise to take over the Sacramento Kings, Kenny Atkinson will have an advanced role next season.
