“That was an incredible nine seasons in the red and white jersey, a path with many ups and downs, with everything that an athlete can experience. The most important thing was that I had the opportunity to win titles that are forever. This is not goodbye for me.”

Born in Bosnia with a German passport, he spent the first seven years of his life in Munich. In 2007 he switched to FC Barcelona’s youth program. He came to Bayern after six seasons in ACB and various other clubs around Europe including Roma and ALBA Berlin.

“Nihad shaped this club like no one else with his passion for basketball and his fighting spirit. We are very grateful to him for what he has achieved here.

Nine years is an incredible time in professional sport, it says everything about him and his achievements,” said Bayern’s Managing Director Marko Pesic.
