The new head coach of Fenerbahce, Dimitris Itoudis, said the team is close to signing star guard Scottie Wilbekin.
Itoudis spoke with the official TV channel of Fenerbahce and stated the club is also trying to keep Nando De Colo.
“We are close to signing Scottie Wilbekin. We are also in talks with Nando De Colo, who wants to remain with us and the negotiations are ongoing. We want to bring in players that will be “hungry” to succeed,” Itoudis said.
In order to land Wilbekin, the Turkish powerhouse has to reach an agreement with Maccabi Tel-Aviv. The American guard, who holds a Turkish passport, is under contract with the Israelis.

Scottie Wilbekin averaged 15.4 points, 4.1 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals in the EuroLeague last season.
