Fenerbache signed EuroLeague star guard Scottie Wilbekin to a three-year deal, the club announced Sunday. The Florida native will have his third experience with a different team in the EuroLeague after Darussafaka and Maccabi.
After a very successful college career, Wilbekin played for the Cairns Taipans team of Australia in 2014, and transferred to the AEK team of Greece in March 2015 and finished the season there.
He then jumped to Darrusafaka and successfully wore the team’s jersey for three seasons before joining Israeli and EuroLeague giants Maccabi Tel Aviv. Scottie Wilbekin got a Turkish passport in the summer of 2018 and started to play for the national team.
Through seven years from 2018 to 2022, the dynamic guard appeared in 124 EuroLeague games with Maccabi and won three Israeli championships with the team. He played in 175 EuroLeague games throughout his career, averaging 13.5 points.
He also registers 3.4 assists, 2.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals and PIR of 12.7. He dropped the most points in a single EuroLeague game last season putting up 37 points against first-year EuroLeague team AS Monaco.
