Steve Kerr says Kevon Looney is ‘irreplaceable’ for Warriors

Steve Kerr had nothing but good words to say about the big man of the Golden State Warriors, Kevon Looney.

The head coach of the 2022 NBA champions called Looney ‘irreplaceable’ and hopes the big man will remain with the franchise long term.

“He’s been really good for us over the years, but this year in particular, he’s taken a leap to a point where he’s just irreplaceable for us. And he played in every game, and he’s a guy we count on,” Steve Kerr said.

Looney averaged just 5.8 points per game in the playoffs (66% from the field), along with 7.6 rebounds, while he also led the entire NBA Playoffs with 63 total offensive boards.

The big man of the Warriors will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason and it remains to be seen what type of contract Golden State will offer him.
