Milan parting ways with veteran guard Malcolm Delaney

After two years and four titles, Milan parted ways with veteran guard Malcolm Delaney as announced on Tuesday by the Lega Basket Serie A powerhouse.

Delaney has spent the two past seasons with Milan and won the Italian League title, 2 Italian cups, and made to the EuroLeague final four in 2021.

Delaney is still recovering from an injury he suffered during the EuroLeague playoff series against Anadolu Efes.

The guard from the United States has been coveted veteran in the European basketball scene the last six years.

During his stay in Milan, Malcolm Delaney averaged 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game during the Italian Cup Final Eight.

This past season Delaney has averaged 9.4 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague competition.

While in the Italian league, he averaged 9.8 points, 3.2 assists, and 1.9 rebounds per game. Delaney said to Giorgos Kyriakidis of BasketNews that the 2021-22 campaign might be his last full season in Europe.
