Patty Mills becomes free agent after declining player option

Veteran guard Patty Mills has declined his player option, worth $6.2M, and has officially entered free agency. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Mills will attract significant interest in free agency, but he will also consider a return to the Brooklyn Nets.

Patty Mills appeared in 81 games with the Nets, averaging 11.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists, on 40.8% shooting.

After spending 10 years with the San Antonio Spurs, the Australian guard joined Brooklyn, yet it is uncertain if he will return to the team next season.
