The Miami Heat are the third team that has showed interest to sign unrestricted free agent Jalen Brunson. And as Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports, they will meet with him once free agency opens on Thursday.

Miami can land Brunson ony via a sign-and-trade deal, therefore it is very likely they will need some help from the Dallas Mavericks.

The Mavs will offer him a lucrative, multi-year deal, however this will not exceed the $110M in total. And in case Brunson moves to the Heat, then Dallas will get some assets in return.

On the other hand, the New York Knicks remain the favorite to sign the young guard and are expected to offer him more money than the Mavs. And if that happens and Brunson joins the Knicks, Dallas will get nothing back.

Jalen Brunson averaged 16.3 points and 4.8 assists last season, on 50.2% from the field and 37.3% from beyond the arc. He helped Dallas reach the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2011.
