FC Barcelona added veteran Jan Vesely, the club announced Friday after weeks of speculation. The former Fenerbahce star has officially left the club a few days ago and he will continue his career in Spain.

The bigman reportedly signed a three-year deal worth 1.8M with FC Barcelona. The contract will sum up to 2.5M with the addition of taxes, per Turkish reporter Ugur Ozan Sulak, who broke the news on May 26.

Vesely recently won the Turkish championship with a 3-1 win over Anadolu Efes in the Turkish BSL final series. He was named MVP after averaging 16.2 points and 6.5 rebounds in the four games.

In 22 EuroLeague outings this past season, he had 13.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest. Starting his EuroLeague career in Partizan and having a small stint in the NBA, Vesely is one of the top bigs in Europe.

He played 276 EuroLeague games in his career and won the title in 2017 under egendary head coach Zeljko Obradovic. In 2018/19 was named MVP after averaging 12.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and a rating of 17.7 in 25 minutes per game with the Turkish club.

He left Fener having four Turkish leagues (2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022), and three domestic cups (2016, 2019 and 2020) under his belt. He hopes to add to his tally with FC Barcelona.
