Jalen Brunson has agreed to a deal to become the newest member of the New York Knicks. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the deal is for four years, worth $104M.
The young guard wanted to join the Knicks and that’s why he didn’t discuss the offer of the Dallas Mavericks, who were hopeful they would re-sign him. For its part, New York made a more lucrative offer and managed to land him.
Jalen Brunson averaged 16.3 points and 4.8 assists last season, on 50.2% from the field and 37.3% from beyond the arc. He helped Dallas reach the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2011.
