Ricky Rubio has agreed to a new deal to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the deal between the two sides is for three years, worth $18.4M.
The Spanish guard was one of the best Cleveland players last season, averaging a career-high 13.1 points, 6.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 34 games. Yet, his season-ending ACL injury in December derailed his campaign with the Cavs.
Ricky Rubio got traded to the Indiana Pacers as part of the Caris LeVert trade, but he is now returning to Cleveland to help the Cavs become a playoff contender. Rubio is expected to miss the start of the 2022/23 season.
