Bayern Munich are going to keep Augistine Rubit ahead of the 2022-23 season, per Robert Heusel of BIG Basketball in Deutschland. The 2.03-meters tall big man spent most of his professional career in Germany.

He started with Tigers Tubingen (2014–15), then moved to Ulm Ratiopharm (2015-17). He then joined Brose Bamberg for two seasons (2017-19) before joining Olympiacos, where he averaged 8.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in 31 games.

Rubit was signed by Zalgiris Kaunas the following season (2020–21), where he averaged 8.1 points and 4.2 rebounds in the EuroLeague. Last season, Rubit averaged 10.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists in the EuroLeague for Bayern.

The Bavarians made the playoffs for the second consecutive time, and Rubit’s play was a huge factor for that. Bayern has yet to announce a new signing but they are also expected to keep Nick Weiller-Babb.

After losing in the German BBL finals to ALBA Berlib, the Bavarians might are in to make some changes in their roster ahead of the 2022-23.
