FC Barcelona officially signs Tomas Satoransky

FC Barcelona officially announced the signing of point guard Tomas Satoransky to a four-year deal. Satoransky is coming back to Europe for the first time since 2016 and he will re-join his former club.

The guard from Czech Republic played for FC Barcelona for two seasons before making the jump to the NBA. ‘Sato’ has played a total of 388 games with an average of 7.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 22 minutes per playing for the Bulls, Pelicans and Wizards.

The team in which he played the most games was the Washington Wizards, in which he played three full seasons (2016-2019) and the second half of this season 2021/22 for a total of 232 games.

He started his 2021-22 season campaign with the Pelicans, but eventually, he was traded to Portland, and then to San Antonio, before reaching an agreement to terminate his contract and becoming a free agent this past season.

From 2014 to 2016, he played a total of 150 matches between the Endesa League (84), the EuroLeague (56), the Spanish Cup (4), the Super Cup (4). In terms of individual awards, Satoransky was named in the All-Liga ACB second team and the Most Spectacular ACB Liga player in 2016 with FC Barcelona.
