Lithuania big man Arturas Gudaitis to skip 2022 FIBA EuroBasket

Lithuania has ruled big man Arturas Gudaitis and forward Eimantas Bendzius out for the 2022 FIBA EuroBasket (September 1-18).

This is what the head coach of the national team, Kazys Maksvytis, revealed after the end of the first round of the Basketball World Cup Qualifiers. Maksnytis also said forward Edgaras Ulanovas will skip the tournament.

“Gudaitis said he wants to get back in shape, rest, and heal his injuries. One more is Bendzius. He said that a new generation is coming, he asked me to spend this summer resting,” Maksvytis told media, via Basketnews.com.

On the other hand, superstar big men Jonas Valanciunas and Domantas Sabonis will be available for the EuroBasket and will join the team in early August.
