Maccabi Tel Aviv retained long-time captain John DiBartolomeo in the roster ahead of the 2022-23 season, the club announced. DiBartolomeo will remain with the Israeli powerhouse for the sixth season.
Over the first five seasons, he averaged 4.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.6 steals per game in the EuroLeague. At the domestic level, he helped Maccabi capture the Winner League title four times from 2018 to 2021.
The team’s captain survived a massive roster overhaul, which included the signing of 10 new players for the Israeli League powerhouse. The EuroLeague club will be under head coach Oded Katash who expected to have a star-studded roster at his disposal.
Josh Nebo, Jarell Martin, Wade Baldwin IV, Rafi Menco, Lorenzo Brown, Darrun Hilliard, Austin Hollins, Guy Pnini, Bonzie Colson, and Alex Poythress will be part of the Israeli’s powerhouse roster next season.
