Mike James spoke with EuroLeague Basketball and opened up about his future plans and whether he intends to retire.
The superstar of Monaco said he enjoys playing basketball but after 10 years as a professional, he has started thinking about retirement.
“I like basketball, so that always gets me through. The long seasons aren’t my speciality, of course, but I mean, it’s enjoyable, you know? It’s basketball, it’s something I love to do, but as I am getting older, I am looking more and more to retirement,” James said.
Mike James was Monaco’s undisputed leader and helped his team reach the EuroLeague playoffs for the first time in club history. He averaged 16.4 points and 5.8 assists in 31 minutes on the floor.
The Monegasques have already made him a contract extension offer and it remains to be seen if he will remain with the franchise for another season.
