Mike James set to sign contract extension with Monaco

Mike James is expected to agree to a contract extension with Monaco and remain with the Monegasques for at least another season.

This is what Eurohoops.net reports, adding that the deal will be worth more than 2 million euros and the two sides are finalizing terms.

If the American guard re-signs with Monaco, then the team will certainly emerge as a title contender next season. The Monegasques are expected to bolster their roster this offseason and bring in some of the best EuroLeague players.

According to the reports and pending the official announcements, Monaco has agreed to deals with Elie Okobo, Jordan Loyd and John Brown, while they have re-signed Donta Hall.

For his part, Mike James joined the All-EuroLeague team last season and led the squad to the playoffs for the first time in club history. He averaged 16.4 points, 5.8 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.
