NBA rumors: Heat willing to ‘exhaust all options’ to trade for Kevin Durant

The Miami Heat are actively pursuing a Kevin Durant trade and are ‘exhausting all options’ to land the All-Star forward. This is what Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports, adding that the Brooklyn Nets’ trade demands make things difficult.

The Nets want an All-Star player, a Rising Star and multiple first-round draft picks to agree to a deal. With Jimmy Butler untouchable, it should be either Bam Adebayo or Kyle Lowry that would be part of the deal.

“The Heat’s Durant pursuit is ongoing. Heat general manager Andy Elisburg and Nets general manager Sean Marks were seen dining together at their Las Vegas hotel on Monday morning.

If the Heat refuses to include Adebayo in any deal (and he could not be included unless the Nets simultaneously trade Ben Simmons), then Kyle Lowry almost assuredly would need to be included,” Jackson writes.

Kevin Durant has the Heat and the Phoenix Suns on top of his list, but if the Nets insist on their demands, it could take weeks or even months before the trade is made.
