FC Barcelona is ready to add Oriol Pauli from Morabanc Andorra, per Mundo Deportivo. Pauli has one more year in his contract, and the Catalans are finalizing a deal that will bring the Spanish forward to the EuroLeague powerhouse.
Pauli will be the fifth signing for Barca this offseason. The team has already made official the signings of the Czech center Jan Vesely, the Czech point guard Tomas Satoransky, the German power forward Oscar da Silva and the Serbian forward Nikola Kalinic.
The 28-year-old Spanish forward joined Andorra in 2020. Last season he averaged 8.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 20 EuroCup games. Pauli started his career in Barca’s youth academy and stayed in the team’s youth system from 2006 to 2014.
The 2.01-meter Pauli played for FC Barcelona B (2012-14) and Herbalife Gran Canaria (2014-20) before joining Andorra. With Gran Canaria, he made his EuroLeague debut in 2018-19 and put up 5.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 29 games.
