Mike James has officially re-signed with AS Monaco Basket for two more seasons, the Monegasques announced. The 31-year-old guard ranked third in the EuroLeague in both scoring (16.4 PPG) and assists (5.8 APG).
He led Monaco to an overachieving season in the EuroLeague as the competition newcomer as the team reach the playoff round, where it lost (3-2) to Olympiacos in the best -of -five series.
James was the MVP of the season candidate, scoring at least 20 points in 13 games EuroLeague games, while he helped his team reach the French League finals, where Sasa Obradovic and co. fell to LDLC ASVEL.
Monaco will bolster its roster this offseason and is set to sign Elie Okobo, Jordan Loyd, John Brown and Donta Hall. Hall will return to the team after a breakout year, while the Monegasques also extended the contract of head coach Sasa Obradovic.
