Panathinaikos’ captain Ioannis Papapetrou parted ways with the six-time EuroLeague champions and is now set to join Partizan.

This is what Eurohoops.net reports, adding that the deal will be for two years and will keep the Greek forward to Belgrade until 2024.

Papapetrou, who averaged 13.8 points and 3.6 rebounds for the “Greens”, didn’t want to remain with the club and the two sides mutually agreed to part ways. Therefore, the Serbians don’t need to pay 400K euros, which was Papapetrou’s buyout.

For its part, Partizan keep bolstering their roster as they are getting ready for their return to the EuroLeague after almost a decade. So far, they have signed Dante Exum, Danilo Andjusic and James Nunnally.
