ALBA Berlin added another promising player ahead of the 2022-23 season signing guard Ziga Samar to a four-year contract. The Slovenian guard spent the past season with Spanish side Fuenlabrada.
Samar, 21, has a strong resume despite his young age. He was named in the All-ACB Best Young Players Team last season and won bronze at the U18 European Championship in 2019. He was also named the best guard of the tournament.

He was loaned to CB Zamora for one season to receive more experience playing with pros. He averaged 10.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 25 games before moving back to Fuenlabrada for the 2021-22 season.
