Being separated 24 days from the start of the NBA free agency, they are many potential free agents available to sign with veterans like Carmelo Anthony, LaMarcus Aldridge and Blake Griffin among others searching for a new contract.

In addition, they are several NBA restricted free agents available to be signed with their respected teams playing the waiting game, like Collin Sexton of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Jordan Nwora of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Collin Sexton

Sexton remains the most coveted free agent so far after Deandre Ayton signed a new deal with the Phoenix Suns. According to the latest reporting, the Alabama product is demanding NBA starting guard money to re-sign with the Cavaliers.

Sexton appeared in just nine games the past season and he was unable to play recovering from a serious injury. With Cavs’ having Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen on big contracts, it’s unlikely they will offer what the explosive point guard demands.

Being a high-usage scoring guard, Sexton could have found the deal he wanted in a different occasion coming off a strong 2020-21 campaign. However, the serious injury he suffered might make him settle for

Dennis Schroder

Dennis Schroder is obviously waiting for a contending team to recruit him after spending time with the Boston Celtics and the Houston Rockets last season. Schroder played 15 games for Houston after being acquired from the Celtics at the deadline.

Houston is not going to bring him back as the team is focused on providing minutes for its young players. Schroder can be a candidate for a the sixth man of the year in the right environment.

The Germany NT point guard produced 13.5 points on 43/34/85 shooting splits last season. He also added 4.6 assists and 3.6 rebounds per contest in 64 appearances in Boston and Houston.

Jordan Nwora

Jordan Nwora is also expecting his restricted free agency situation to resolve at some point. Nwora is an instant-score coming from the bench, and he can provide any team with an additional option with his shot creation and his aggressiveness.

Nwora appeared in 62 games with the Milwaukee Bucks last season averaging almost eight points a game with 40/34/83 shooting splits. Nwora, who is restricted FA, is in limbo as he waits for an offer that Milwaukee will have the option to match.

General Manager John Horst claimed the Bucks are keeping an open roster spot for Nwora, but they are not in a hurry to come to a resolution with the swingman from Nigeria. It remains to be seen if there is any team which can force the Milwaukee’s hand.

Veteran market

Several NBA veteran players have yet to find a team this summer with the most notable names being former All-Stars Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge. In addition seasoned veterans like Dwight Howard and DeMarcus Cousins are also available.

Anthony could be considered the best of the bunch, coming from a productive individual season with the Lakers where he averaged 13.3 points and 4.2 rebounds in 69 appearances with the LA franchise during the 2021-22 NBA season.
