EuroLeague Rumors: Deshaun Thomas attracting interest from Virtus Bologna, Panathinaikos

Deshaun Thomas remains a free agent after a great season with Bayern Munich, where he was one of the top performers for Andrea Trinchieri’s team. The forward is attracting interest from Virtus Bologna and Panathinaikos, “La Reppublica” reports (h/t Sportando).

The same report suggests Maccabi also is in the mix for the veteran forward. Thomas averaged 9.6 points along with 3.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 36 EuroLeague contests. Thomas has played for Panathinaikos in the past, staying with the club for two seasons.

He helped the Greens to win multiple domestic titles. Last season, he was one of the top performers in a Bayern’s team that ended up reaching the EuroLeague playoffs for the second consecutive season.

As for Virtus Bologna, they look to improve their big man rotation with Thomas ahead of the team’s return to the EuroLeague after 14 years. So far, the Italian side signed Iffe Lundberg, Jordan Mickey and Ismael Bako.
