Bayern Munich announced another great addition in its frontcourt with the signing of big man Freddie Gillespie to a two-year deal. The 25-year-old split time between the Orlando Magic and the Grizzliesβ G-League affiliate Memphis Hustle last season.

Gillespie made a total of 29 appearances in the NBA, 20 of them in his first professional season during 2020/2021 for the Toronto Raptors. On average, he spent around 18 minutes on the court with a 50 percent shot percentage and almost five rebounds per.
He holds NBA career averages of 4.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 0.5 assists throughout 29 games. Gillespie started his NCAA career in a third division college in Carleton before joining Baylor between 2018-2020.
He went undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft but his physical play and gifts secured him an NBA contract.
