Kyrie Irving is willing to spend the 2022/23 season with the Brooklyn Nets, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The superstar guard recently picked up his player option, worth $36M, and intends to play for the Nets this season. He will then become an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Both Irving and Kevin Durant wanted out of Brooklyn this offseason, however this may not be an easy thing to happen.
Because of the Nets’ extremely high trade demands, there has been no significant progress with interested teams. Brooklyn has prioritized a Kevin Durant trade and has a lower price to let Irving go.
So far, only the Los Angeles Lakers have shown serious interest to trade for Kyrie Irving, but talks with the Nets never progressed.
Irving averaged 27.4 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.4 rebounds this past season, but missed a significant part of the season due to his unvaccinated status.
