Jaylen Brown was included in the trade package the Boston Celtics offered to the Brooklyn Nets for Kevin Durant.

However, the Nets denied the offer and asked to also receive Marcus Smart in exchange for the two-time NBA champion.

Despite the Celtics’ intention to ship him off, the All-Star guard is happy in Boston and has no plans to leave the franchise.

“I don’t have any clarity on either which way, but obviously he’s under contract with the Celtics for two more years. And I haven’t heard anything about any type of displeasure that he’s had with the organization.

Overall over these last two, three years I think you’ve seen a lot of growth in the organization when it comes to Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart.

I haven’t heard of any significant displeasure from Jaylen Brown, any type of request or anything like that from his side as of right now,” Shams Charania said, via NBC Sports Boston.

Jaylen Brown, who has two years and $55,2M remaining in his current deal with the Celtics, was one of the key players in Boston’s trip to the 2022 NBA Finals. He averaged 23.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 66 games.

It remains to be seen whether the Celtics will make a second offer to the Nets or they will give up the race to trade for Kevin Durant.
