Kyrie Irving sees himself away from the NBA at the final stages of his career playing in a different league around the world and teaching the youth. At least, that’s what he claimed in a question regarding his future in basketball during a Q&A on the Twitter.

Here’s what the Nets’ superstar wrote on Twitter in response to a tweet saying that he’s “gassing up” ahead of the new season: (h/t Hoopshype)

“I don’t ever have to Gas myself up. I am going on my 12th year in the best league in the world and I am only getting better. When I am 38 years old and have time to reflect on my career truly, I will do so, but until then, I am enjoying every moment.”

And no I won’t be done playing basketball at 38 years old lol, I’ll be in leagues all over the world playing and teaching the youth all that was taught to me.”

Irving has seen limited time in the court the last two seasons due to injuries and his unwillingness to follow the mandatory vaccine mandate in New York last season. He remained with Nets despite having the option to opt out.

The Nets are hoping to find a trade for Irving but aside from the Lakers no team expressed interest for the veteran guard.
