Greece has officially tipped off its training camp ahead of the FIBA EuroBasket in September (1-18).
19 players took part in the opening training session, while Nick Calathes, Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Tyler Dorsey will join the camp during the week.
“The time we have at our disposal is short, but we tried to give several days of rest to the players. Since the preparation time is less than what happens at a collective level, the responsibility we all have is not to waste a second and to make the most of every moment of preparation,” head coach Dimitris Itoudis told media on Monday.

Greece will play a total of five preparation games ahead of the tournament, while they will face Serbia (road, August 25) and Belgium (home, August 28) for the Second Round of the Basketball World Cup Qualifiers before the official start of the EuroBasket.
Greece will travel to Milano in late August for the group stage of the EuroBasket, where they will take on hosts Italy, Estonia, Great Britain, Ukraine and Croatia.
