JaMychal Green had high praise for his new team, the Golden State Warriors, and revealed why he signed with the reigning NBA champions.

The veteran forward revealed that he admired the Warriors as an opponent and called Golden State an ’empire’.

“I just couldn’t say no to Golden State. What they’ve built here, it’s an empire and I just wanted to be a part of it,” he said during the team’s introductory video.

JaMychal Green wants to bring physicality and do the dirty work coming off the bench for the Golden State Warriors.

“I just come in and play hard, be a dog, do the dirty work, help Draymond out with the dirty work. And you know, knock down shots and play defense,” Green told media, via NBC Sports.

Golden State is happy for the addition of a tough big man, like Green, who will complement defensive specialist and franchise co-leader, Draymond Green.

JaMychal Green spent the previous season with the Denver Nuggets, averaging 6.4 points and 4.2 rebounds in 67 games. Last month, he agreed to an one-year, $2.6M deal with Golden State.
