Evan Fournier named captain of France for FIBA EuroBasket

Evan Fournier is the new captain of France for the FIBA EuroBasket, as announced by the Basketball Federation on Friday.

With Nicolas Batum and Nando De Colo skipping the tournament, the superstar of the New York Knicks became the new captain. Fellow NBA superstar Rudy Gobert will be the vice-captain of the team.

Evan Fournier and Rudy Gobert headline France’s preliminary roster for the tournament, which now stands at 14 players, following the injury of Moustapha Fall, who will miss the EuroBasket.
