Tarik Black says Olympiacos’ winning history convinced him to join the “Reds”

Tarik Black was the latest addition of Olympiacos this offseason and explained the reason he decided to join the “Reds”.

The American big man said the “Reds” winning history convinced him to accept the team’s offer and sign with Olympiacos.

“I am so excited to be part of Olympiacos’ winning history. What made me accept the team’s offer is the winning history of last season, where the club reached the EuroLeague Final Four.

This year, the team looks capable of repeating and going even higher and I want to be part of something that is going to be so big,” Black told the official website of Olympiacos.

Tarik Black is coming off a strong season in the Turkish Basketball League with Bahcesehir Koleji. He averaged 5.8 points and 2.4 rebounds in seven TBL games.

He also helped the team win the FIBA Europe Cup averaging 7.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in five games in the competition.

With four additions to the roster (Tarik Black, Isaiah Canaan, Joel Bolomboy, Alec Peters), Olympiacos aims to remain a EuroLeague title contender and return to the Final Four for a second straight season.
